Professor Eren is a experimental archaeologist, an internationally renowned expert in the peopling and colonisation of North America, and a foremost figure in the study of lithic technologies. He founded and co-directs the Kent State Experimental 91̽»¨ÊÓÆµ Laboratory, one of the largest facilities dedicated to archaeological experimentation and the replication and testing of past human artefacts. Having also led or conducted Palaeolithic and Stone Age fieldwork in 14 countries across Africa, Europe and Asia, including prominent sites such as Olduvai Gorge, Paleo Crossing, and Goodson Shelter, Professor Eren’s expertise combines traditional archaeological approaches and discovery with cutting-edge archaeological science.
