Project Overview
We are identifying and investigating sites of probable Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman, and Saxon date in the hinterland of Canterbury in order to understand the relationships between Canterbury and its local landscape, and the connections with the Continent and the rest of Britain. We are using non-intrusiveÌýgeophysical techniques, working with local communities and avocational archaeologists,Ìýand undertaking a new investigation of theÌýaerial photography of Kent.
